Vincent Varjavandi is a Specialist Paediatric Surgeon based at Sydney Children’s Hospital, Randwick.
He undertook his medical training at Flinder’s University in South Australia, then completed his training in Paediatric Surgery at the Women’s and Children’s Hospital, North Adelaide and in Sydney at The Children’s Hospital, Westmead.
From 2000 – 2001, Vincent worked as the laparoscopic (keyhole surgery) International Fellow at the New England Medical Centre in Boston.
Since returning to Australia in 2002, he has been practicing as a full-time Specialist Paediatric Surgeon in Sydney’s Eastern Suburbs.
Dr Varjavandi specialises in newborn surgery including circumcision and has a special interest in oesophageal and upper gastrointestinal (GI) surgery.
He is actively involved in the training and examination of junior doctors, and regularly teaches students from the University of New South Wales.
